The Kickstarter campaign for Divinity: Original Sin 2 launched today, and they're rather close to their funding goal of $500,000. As of writing this news post, they have already raised over $375,000.
"With Divinity: Original Sin 2, Larian Studios aims to change the way we think about narrative in RPGs, creating a world in which your history and actions shape the story, and NPCs react differently to each character," the studio explained.
They also boast of seamless cooperative and competitive gameplay, as well as a classless character development system, which will put a greater emphasis on character origin and deeds. Larian is also bringing in a new crafting system and a new skill crafting system that will mix spells with skills. The multiplayer portion will also support up to four players to play together or against one another.
Of course, backing the Kickstarter also comes with a hefty number of incentives, such as guaranteed Alpha and Beta access.

The console copies of Assassin's Creed Syndicate will release on October 23rd, but the PC copy is going to spend a little more time in the slow cooker. Ubisoft announced today that the PC version will release on November 19th, nearly a month after the console version.
“We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project,” Sam Kovalev, production manager at Ubisoft Kiev, said about the project. “This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year.
“The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one,” he continued.
Sounds like Ubisoft has learned its lesson from the last AC release just a smidge.
