What is a Vision Prepaid Card?
Vision Prepaid Cards provide a smart and cost-effective alternative to checking accounts, carrying cash, paying check cashing fees, or credit cards. You add your own money and only spend what you load on it. There’s no credit check or bank account required.
How do I start using my Vision Prepaid Card?
When you receive your Vision Prepaid Card in the mail, call the phone number on the sticker placed on the front of the card or visit my.visionprepaid.com to activate it. Then you must add money to your card via direct deposit or at a retail location to use it.
How does it work?
Load it with the cash amount you choose and enjoy the power of the Visa brand. You can use it to make purchases and pay bills anywhere Visa Debit cards are accepted, including in stores, online or over the phone. Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance.
Where can I use my card?
You can use your card online, over the phone and at the millions of places that accept Visa debit cards - including supermarkets, pharmacies, clothing stores, drug stores, and more.
How do I set up my online account?
First, go to my.visionprepaid.com and click on Account Login .
The secure account login page will appear. Click on "Sign Up" under "First Time Users".
Fill out your information and submit. Then log in using your new username and password.In your online account, you can:
- View your statements, transactions & balance information
- Set up text and email account alerts
- Transfer money
- Set up a secondary card account
- View and print your Direct Deposit information
- And more.
How can I start my SMS and email alerts?
First, log in to your online account at my.visionprepaid.com . Next, click on "Alerts" under Account Management.
Make sure that your email and mobile phone are correct. You can also choose when you would like your alerts to begin and end each day, and set your time zone.
Scroll down and check the boxes of the Alerts you would like to receive and whether you would like to receive them via Email or Text message.We recommend three alerts:
- Daily Balance - Sends you your balance each day so you know how much money you have.
- Authorization - Shows you detail for each purchase transaction after it is made.
- Payment Posted - Alerts you when and how much money has been added to your card via Direct Deposit or a retail location.
Don't forget to click the "update" button to save your new settings. With account alerts sent to your mobile phone or
email, you'll always know your balance and be in control of your money.
Can I get my paychecks or other checks direct deposited to my Vision Prepaid Card?
Yes, and you will get your paycheck or government benefits checks faster. With Direct Deposit, your checks are on the card on payday.
Setting up Direct Deposit is easy. Simply log in to your online cardholder account and go to the Direct Deposit option under "Add Cash" in the upper left hand corner. Click the option to print your information or write down your numbers and provide to your payroll or benefits provider.
You can also use the direct deposit form that came with your card in the mail. It looks like a check. Just give it to your payroll or benefits provider and your direct deposit should appear in 1 to 2 pay cycles.
Is my money safe on the card?
Yes. Your money on the card is safer than carrying cash. The card is issued by The Bancorp Bank; member FDIC, and cardholders deposits are FDIC insured up to $250,000. Plus you are also protected against unauthorized purchases if your card is ever lost or stolen with the Visa Zero Liability policy**.
Can I use ATMs?
Yes. To get cash at the ATM, insert your card into the machine and enter your PIN. Select "checking" to make a withdrawal and enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw. Then take your cash, card, and receipt to keep track of your balance. To avoid ATM fees can also get cash back after making purchases.
Can I pay bills with this card?
Yes. Pay any bill online or over the phone with your card. It’s a great way to save on money orders, stamps, bill pay fees and more. Plus, you save time. You can use the online tool that lets you send one-time or recurring payments electronically or by paper check to anyone in the United States, or you can pay a biller directly.
Are there fees?
There are only 3 Fees on the Vision Premier Card with Direct Deposit set up. You can view the fees for the Vision Preferred Card here .
How much can I spend on a Vision Prepaid Card each day?
You can spend up to $2,500.00 per day.
How can I get my account balance or a statement?
You may access your available balance anytime for free by accessing your Card Account online or by calling 1-800-207-1805. Statements in electronic format will be made available free of charge at my.visionprepaid.com . You will not automatically receive paper statements. You may choose to have a paper statement mailed to you by contacting us each time at 1-800-207-1805.
