Have a healthy body. A healthy body goes a long way toward having a healthy mind. Eat healthier foods. Get plenty of sleep at night. Only drink alcohol in moderation. Avoid cigarettes and caffeine.
Take a deep breath and slow down your thoughts. Pinpoint why you are feeling anxious. Write down a list of things that you can do to solve that problem. Sometimes just having a plan will make you feel more relaxed.
If your job or coworkers are making you anxious, perhaps you should start looking for a new place of employment. Just realize that the job search process can be stressful and an anxiety-causing situation in and of itself.
Find a healthy outlet for your stress and anxiety. Read a book. Go for a walk. Take a nice long bubble bath. Take a few days off from work and just spend some time doing things you enjoy.
There are some
scents that can induce a calming feeling in the body. Buy some scented oils. Lavender, frankincense, bergamot are all scents that can invoke confidence or relax the body.
Have a support group. If you feel that you can't stop feeling anxious on your own, then talk to your loved ones about it. Confide in a friend. Ask them to cheer you up. Sometimes, you can't stop feeling anxious by yourself and you need help. But if you don't ask for the help, don't feel overwhelmed by your stress and don't take it out on your family. They can't help if you don't ask for it.
Seek professional help. If nothing seems to be working and you are growing even more stressed out, it may be time to seek out professional help. In severe cases, anxiety can be a psychological disorder and you won't be able to stop it by yourself. Get help. You'll be much happier. Don't let anxiety rule your life.
