I work full time (not enough to put away savings) and I'm 19. The government is already lending me $19 500 (max) to pay for my tuition, but I still needed money for living expenses (it's a intense 12 month program that'll eat away me evenings and weekends as well, so no part time job). The school is giving me a scholarship of $10 000 towards living but I'm still $ 6000 short.

I applied at 2 banks now but because my father is a retired with only pension they wouldn't give me a loan and he was my ONLY co-signer. There is no extended family or really generous friends option. My dad was my only choice.

I can't afford a loan from a

3rd party personal loan because of the interest (I'd be taking out the loan to pay for the loan) and I've applied for every grant I could find with no results. What can I do? Thanks

It's not that I don't know how to get a student loan, it's that no one will give it to me without a co-signer.

does anyone even read the details, or just the question?
