1) Application process for a School

If you are a registered school with the Department of Education you are eligible to submit your application to register as a MySchool beneficiary.

Please post us all of the following completed documentation in order to nominate your school. Incomplete applications and/or the failure to submit all required documentation will result in your application being declined

Please note that nominating your school does not necessarily result in registration.

  1. Fully completed School Application Request form (download here)
  2. Original School letterhead
  3. Copy of VAT registration form (VAT 103) (if VAT registered)
  4. Proof of banking details ( NOTE. Only Original’s of banking details will be accepted)
    • Original Cancelled Cheque, OR
    • Confirmation of Banking details on original bank letterhead verified with the bank’s stamp, OR
    • Original bank statement verified with the bank’s stamp

5. Communications and fundraising strategy overview (explaining how your school will manage the MySchool fundraising programme).

2) Application process for a Village or Planet organisation

If you are a registered Non-Profit Organisations, Section 21 Company and Public Benefit Organisation, focused on:

  • the upliftment of people from previously disadvantaged backgrounds through educating people with physical and mental disabilities; orphans and the vulnerable;
  • the protection of animals and the environment;

You are eligible to submit your application for review to register as a MyVillage MyPlanet beneficiary. Please note that nominating your organisation does not necessarily result in registration.

Please post us all of the following completed documentation in order to nominate your organisation. Incomplete applications and/or the failure to submit all required documentation will result in your application being declined:

  1. Fully completed MyVillage MyPlanet Beneficiary Application Request Form (download here )
  2. Copy of organisations

    NGO / PBP registration certificate

  3. Original Organisation letterhead
  4. Proof of banking details (NOTE. Only Original’s of banking details will be accepted)
    • Original Cancelled Cheque,OR
    • Confirmation of Banking details on original bank letterhead verified with the bank’s stamp, OR
    • Original bank statement verified with the bank’s stamp
  1. A short company profile describing the nature of the organisation and what it does.
  2. Copy of VAT registration form (VAT 103) (if VAT registered)
  3. A “Marketing/Communications Plan” outlining: Your communications & fundraising strategy (explaining how your organisation will manage the MySchool fundraising programme). Include specific mention of the number of donors you currently have, & your various communications channels.

Organisations that DO NOT qualify to become beneficiaries

Certain registered Non-Profit Organisations, Section 21 Company and Public Benefit Organisation organisations do not qualify to become beneficiaries of the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet Fundraising programme:

  1. Charities promoting a specific religion including churches, mosques and temples
  2. Charities promoting a specific political group or orientation
  3. Charities promoting specific social activism issues/views
  4. Sports clubs and associations
  5. Interest or hobby groups
  6. Profit making companies
  7. Individuals

The application process: what to expect

1) The application review process takes 6 / 8 weeks from the time that we receive the completed application. Failure to submit the required details and supporting documentation will result in your application not being reviewed and your application being declined.

2) You will be notified via email if your application is declined or has been provisionally approved (in this case you will receive instruction regarding the second phase of the application process, to be successfully registered as a beneficiary.)

3) All accepted beneficiaries will be required to sign an Agreement with MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet.
