How to top up your wallet with a credit or debit card

If you have a master account you can use any of the credit or debit cards shown above to top up your Sony Entertainment Network account wallet and make purchases from PlayStation®Store on the following devices:

  • PS4™
  • PS3™
  • PlayStation®Vita
  • PlayStation®TV
  • PlayStation®App for Android™ or iOS
  • PC/mobile device

Your payment details are stored on our secure servers after you use your credit or debit card to make a purchase, so you won't need to enter the information again when you make your next purchase. You can store up to three cards on your account and choose a default or select the card you want to use each time you make a purchase.

If you purchase a subscription service, like PlayStation®Plus, we will switch on 'Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions or Pay for Pre-ordered Content'. This means that the credit or debit card linked to your account will be debited to renew your subscription if you do not have enough wallet funds. We do not switch auto-funding on when you place a pre-order; you will need to either ensure your wallet has sufficient funds when we take the pre-order payment or switch auto-funding on through Account Management. Find out how to manage auto-funding here.

Select the device on which you will access PlayStation®Store or Sony Entertainment Network Store for full instructions:

  1. Go to

[PlayStation®Store] and choose the products you want to purchase by selecting [Add to Cart] on the product detail page and [Proceed to Checkout].
  2. Select [Add Funds] on the 'Confirm Purchase' screen.
  3. Choose [Credit Card] and enter your billing information if it is not saved on your account or choose

the card you would like to use.

  4. Select the amount you want to add to your wallet and select [Continue].

We recommend that top-up your wallet through

[PlayStation®Store]  rather than through [Billing Information] in [Settings]. This is because your default card might be changed or your PayPal account may be removed from your SEN account completely if you use Settings and there is no warning message displayed if this happens.

  1. Go to

[PlayStation®Store] and choose the products you want to purchase by selecting [Add to Cart] on the product detail page and [Proceed to Checkout].
  2. Select [Add Funds] on the 'Confirm Purchase' screen.
  3. Choose [Credit Card] and enter your billing information if it is not saved on your account or choose the card you would like to use.
  4. Select the amount you want to add to your wallet and select [Continue].

If you add or update your card on PlayStation Vita/PlayStation TV this card becomes your default payment method. If you have a PayPal account linked it will be deleted from your SEN account and there is no warning message displayed if this happens
