My doctor diagnosed me with depression. Can I claim Incapacity Benefit (ESA)?

how to claim incapacity benefit

Since then I started claiming Job Seekers because I'm unemployed and needed a source of income.

Since I've been claiming JSA I believe my depression has been getting worse, it's got to the point now that job searching is making me want to cry, sometimes worse. All the rejection from every job I apply for really isn't helping me at all. Every time I do a job search and realise I have no qualifications for anything it reminds me of how much I fail at life and I hate

it and just want to die so I can get away from being such a failure.

Job Centre have told me to look for jobs that require seeing/socialising with people all day which I am really not comfortable with at all. I don't want to have to face people every working day, it makes me feel very anxious when I think about having to work in a public environment.

I don't know who I can ask about this who's a professional because everywhere seems to be on the phone or face-to-face, no email address I can contact, and I can't even handle talking about my depression out loud without crying and I don't want to cry in front of or on the phone to some random advisor. I don't know what to do.

Can someone help me please?

Thank you.

Update: I live in England by the way.
