What are the requirements for the different credit ratings?

Limited companies

The highest credit rating a limited company can receive is AAA. The requirements for this rating include a turnover in excess of SEK 2 million, at least ten years of business activities and financial ratios that significantly exceed the industry average. If one of these requirements is not met, the company will be rated AA (good creditworthiness) or A (creditworthy).

Trading partnerships and limited partnerships

A well-established, creditworthy trading partnership or limited partnership will be awarded an AA rating, which is the highest credit rating this type of company can receive. Creditworthy companies that have

not been operating long will be rated A.

Sole traders

A well-established, creditworthy sole trader will be awarded an AA rating, which is the highest credit rating this type of company can receive. Creditworthy companies that have not been operating long will be rated A. Newly started sole traders with no negative information on record will receive the credit rating AN. Companies with a large number of non-payment records or whose owner has bankruptcy arrangements will be rated B (credit against security) or C (credit advised against).
