This we Believe :
The Bible is God's complete and only revelation to man. ". and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." II Tim. 3:16-17. Our sole authority for our faith and practice is the Bible. The validity of our salvation rests in our belief and acceptance by faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and upon our obedience to the Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21. The Bible has been preserved completely in all its original purity to this day. God promised to preserve His Word and that not one "jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. This is not only accepted by the believer in Christ by faith, it is historically proven by a scholarly examination of the ancient manuscripts. Matt. 5:18, Luke 21:33. We believe that the King James Bible is the most accurate English translation and is completely trustworthy being based on the Majority texts. In the Trinity, that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are the three divine persons of the Godhead, yet one God (Exodus 20:2-3, I Corinthians 8:6, Revelations 4:11). (Article: "Understanding the Doctrine of the Trinity.")
God the Father is Spirit. There is only one God, there are no other gods. God is not or ever was a man (Num. 23:19, Isa. 43:10-11, 44:6, Mal.3:6, John 1:18, 4:24, Hebrews 6:13). Jesus Christ is the only begotten, virgin born Son of God, and is the second member of the Trinity. Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and God the Son (Gen. 3:15, Isa. 7:14, Matt. 1:18-25, John 1:1-4, Acts 4:12).
The Gospel is the Good News, that Jesus Christ, ". died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he arose again on the third day according to the scriptures." I Corinthians 15:1-4. Jesus Christ gave Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed Blood
(Isaiah 53:5-6, 1 Peter 2:22-24, Romans 3:24-25, 5:1-10).
Salvation and eternal life in heaven is a free gift of God. It is not a process by which a person merits salvation by good works, church membership or any act of man. It is instantaneously received by the believer when he exercises saving faith in Jesus Christ. After one believes he is eternally saved as a child of God and cannot lose his salvation. He then works in love and commitment to the loving God who saved him (Eph. 2:8-9. I John 5:4-5, 13). (Article: "God's Simple Plan of Salvation.")
The local church is God's organization for the edifying of the saints, and for the spreading of the Gospel. The local church has the God given directive to be self governing, free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations, and that Christ is the Head of the Church. The Body of Christ is made up of all born-again New Testament believers who have by faith trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. Christian baptism is by single immersion of the believer in Christ, to show as a public testimony, that he has trusted in Christ as his Savior, and is identifying himself with the death, burial and resurrection of His Lord. Baptism has no saving merit, but is only for those who have already been saved by faith in Christ and is into the local church. The Lord's Supper is the second of only two ordinances given to the local church. It is a commemorative of Christ's death until He comes for His church. It is to be practiced by baptized believers only, and is to be a time of self examination (Acts 8:36, 38-39; John 3:23, Rom. 6:3-5; Matt. 3:16; Col. 2:12, I Cor. 11:23-28; Acts 2:41-42). We believe the Scriptures teach that a believer should be separated unto God, from the world, and from apostasy and heresy as exemplified in the ecclesiastical organizations such as the National and World Councils of Churches, ecumenical evangelistic endeavors, including the modern Charismatic movement and Promise Keepers. This doctrine is based upon God's eternal principle of division between truth and error and God's specific command to be separate from unbelievers and disobedient or erring brethren (Romans 16:17, Matthews 18:15-20, 1 Corinthians 5:7:7-13, 2 Corinthians 6:14, 1 Timothy 6:3-5, 2 John 9-11).
