How to Play Craps
Craps is really easy, you sit down at the table and you place your bet on either the Pass or Don’t Pass line. The Pass Line is betting for the shooter and the Don’t Pass is against the shooter. Both types of bets earn even money, although betting Don’t Pass gives the player a better edge.
The come out roll is the first roll of the game and if it is not a 7 or an 11 it is known as a point. If a point has been established the goal of the shooter is to attempt to roll that same number again. If he rolls the same number again he wins the point bet. If the shooter rolls a seven before his point number, he passes the dice to the next shooter at his left.
The Come Don’t Come bets are next. This works almost exactly like Pass and Don’t pass except it occurs after the shooter establishes his point. The bettors goal now
is to place a come or don’t come bet. A come bet is one that is for the shooter and a Don’t Come bet is against the shooter. The goal of the shooter is to roll the same number again before he craps out.
Many players get stuck thinking that they should always bet with the shooter because that is what the popular players at the table do. A lot of people frown upon betting against the shooter, but when you do so you actually dwindle the house edge so that your odds of winning are better than ever. When you play online you needn’t worry about what others think because you’re behind a computer and don’t have to worry too much about what others think. Of course, it may be difficult to jump right out of the fire and into the frying pan if this is your first introduction to online craps, but when you’re ready, Don’t Pass and Don’t Come bets will more likely than not benefit you.
