We are authorized to collect information for this purpose by section 8880 et seq. of the California Government Code. We recommend you do not provide any personal information not specifically requested.
When contacting us by email, we recommend that you only provide the personal information that you think we need to respond to your concern. If, however, you do not give us enough information, we may not be able to contact you or help you resolve your concern.
It is the policy of the California Lottery to share your personal information only as strictly necessary to provide services
or assistance. This may include disclosing your personal information to Lottery affiliates and to other government agencies. We also could be required to disclose the personal information that you provide in the following circumstances:
- In response to a Public Records Act request, as allowed by the Information Practices Act;
- To another government agency as required by state or federal law;
- In response to a court or administrative order, a subpoena, or a search warrant.
