A Bolt of Linen Cloth is only used by tailoring and hence are usually created from 2 x Linen Cloth which are farmed, bought from a vendor for Horde (Andra in Silvermoon City: 55c each), or the Auction House by a tailor; furthermore, the Bolts of Linen Cloth can be farmed (in chests), fished, and bought from a vendor for Horde (Andra. 1s60c each) or the Auction House by a tailor. Usually, though not obligatory, the Tailor creates them to level the first 30 skill points of tailoring. Bolts of Linen Cloth are then used for creating 21 different clothing items. some of which Enchanters can disenchant. and a 6-slot Linen bag. good for new alts, for Tailoring skill levels 1-75.
One inexpensive route (1.7g-14g+ approx. if bought rather than farmed) to level Tailoring from 1-75. is to combine 120 x Linen Cloth and 65 Coarse Thread --> to produce 60 Bolt of Linen Cloth to combine and create
35 clothing items (i.e. 5 x Brown Linen Vest. 5 x Linen Belt. 5 x Brown Linen Pants. 5 x Heavy Linen Gloves. 15 x Reinforced Linen Cape from which Enchanters can disenchant 25 of those items for about 45 x Strange Dust and 10 x Lesser Magic Essence ).
Alternatively but just a little bit more expensive for mats (3.2g-34g+ approx. if bought rather than farmed), if you intend to power-level Enchanting with Tailoring. another route to level Tailoring skill 1-75 will be to combine the following raw materials: 60 x Linen Cloth. 90 x Bolt of Linen Cloth (or optionally cheaper another 180 x Linen Cloth ), 75 Coarse Thread ---> to produce 45 disenchant-able clothing items (i.e. 25 x Brown Linen Pants. 5 x Heavy Linen Gloves and 15 x Reinforced Linen Cape all of which Enchanters can disenchant, with some slight variation to be expected, for about 60 x Strange Dust and 15 x Lesser Magic Essence ).
