Project Management Certificate Course or PMP Bootcamp?
You must meet the eligibility criteria but also know how to pass the test. For this reason, I recommend an exam prep course. ( Certification & Training for PMP, Six Sigma, Agile )
This is the process I recommend to you:
- Submit your application to PMI — this is where you input all of your project management experience “hours” and there is an application fee (check out page 11 here to see what qualifies)
- As an added bonus, our class does qualify for the required hours. However, you can’t post date an application, so you’d have to wait to complete the course before even starting your application.
- This is where you can choose to be a
member or not. Members get magazine journals and access to the “community” of Project Managers through PMI — totally optional.
Schedule and pay for your exam — exam dates are only accessible once your application has been approved. You may find that the next feasible exam date is a few months out, which is why….
Once your exam is scheduled, fit your training class in around it — PMP Boot Camp Classes
- This will help with retention of the materials.
