Visit any Live Scan Fingerprinting vendor in California to have your fingerprints taken. Bring a valid, current photo ID and prepare to pay a fee, which varies, based on location. Alternatively, have your fingerprints taken when you take your licensing exam. Pay, effective July 1, 2010, the license filing fee of $128 and the examination fee of $37.
