Convocation ceremonies at Ryerson University are held typically in Spring (June) and Fall (October). Senate awards degrees and certificates to students who successfully complete programs as prescribed by Ryerson University.
At Convocation, the University will graduate certificate, undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculties of Arts, Communication & Design, Community Services, Engineering and Architectural Science, Science, the Ted Rogers School of Management, the School of Graduate Studies, and The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education.
Whether you plan on attending your graduation ceremony or not, you must apply to graduate. You must also apply to graduate in advance of receiving your spring/summer or winter grades. For information on applying to graduate and determining your graduation eligibility, visit Curriculum Advising. Convocation tickets are only available to students
who have received written confirmation of their eligibility to graduate from Curriculum Advising.
If you are planning on graduating with a Continuing Education certificate, and an Undergraduate or Graduate degree, you must apply to graduate separately for each award. Each graduating student is eligible for TWO guest tickets for the Ryerson Theatre.
Extra tickets for Theatre seating ARE NOT AVAILABLE for any Convocation ceremony. Go to Tickets for more information. Please note that we do not sell Convocation tickets nor do we keep a waiting list for them.
We are unable to replace lost theatre tickets. Any lost tickets will be replaced with tickets to the on-campus closed circuit television broadcast. Each student will only be eligible for two of these tickets.
