I have the flu at the moment and am feeling really tired, achey, i'm coughing and my voice sounds like a zip.
I worked yesterday for 3 hours, and after the first hour i was exhausted. I couldn't hold my self up by the 3rd hour and i stumbled out of the door my muscles ached so much
About 10 minutes (7.05am, the store opens at 7) ago i called them. This was the conversation
"hi, it's Lauren _____"
"hi lauren, can i help you?"
"i'm sick today and unable to come into work"
(complete change of tone on my bosses part)
"well, everybody's sick lauren" (this was done in a mocking way, like i
was faking it to get out of work)
"*i stay silent*"
"fine, but you will need to provide a doctors certificate"
This seems a little off to me. I'm missing 5 hours of work. I'm only 15. I find it hard to believe they can make me work when i'm ill. My parents have missed days off work without the need of a doctors certificate
Im from victoria, do i need a doctors certificate FOR ONE DAY?
6 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer.
I'm a casual, by the way. I only work weekends

Oh, i wasn't even meant to be rostered for that day. I put in days i can't work weeks ago and one of the days was 1/08/2010
My boss always rosters me out of my hours, and gets shitty when i say i can't work them because i have sport or a school thing. it's almost like she says
"no, you scanning items is far more important that committing to sport and school."
