How do you get a marriage certificate in Hawaii without a ceremony?

where do you get marriage certificate

We are having the ceremony on December 12th. But we want to be married now. I know where to get a marriage license. I'm not sure where to get and then file a certificate. Can I do it in the same place that I file the license? Or do I need to take the license else where and request that an officiant or judge. show more We are having the ceremony on December 12th. I know where to get a marriage license. I'm not sure where to get and then file a certificate. Can I do it in the same place that I file the license? Or do I need to take the license else where and request that an officiant or judge fills it out and files it? And if elsewhere, where?

I can't find the answers anywhere. I can only find where to go to file for a marriage license, and all of the laws within the state of Hawaii pertaining to marriage.

Does anyone know how this is done in Hawaii without a ceremony and officiant? Or at least in a non-traditional, legal only way.

Update: Ok, so I would take the license down to the

court house and request that a judge perform a basic ceremony. Do I need a witness? Can I have just one person do that?

And thanks.

Update 2: Ok, then I'll have to bring one more person with me. Thanks. Even in the court house, just to do it legally, we would still have to exchange vows and such? We haven't finished writing them yet, and we want them to be a surprise. Can't we just get all the papers signed by everyone and be done with it. show more Ok, then I'll have to bring one more person with me. Thanks.

And yes, I am aware it is our responsibility to make sure that all the paper work goes where it is supposed to go. I just didn't know who sent what to where.

And we are calling the court house. again. Thanks.
