Im trying to get microsoft certified.
Best Answer: The best way to start out on Microsoft certification is to get a CompTIA A+ cert because this can be self studied and aligns with the hardware jobs you have already been doing. It will give you a good idea on how to study for tests and how the cert and testing procedure works.
After that I would take the MCITP certs for Windows 7 followed by the the
Windows Server 2008 certs. I've given you a link to that page where those test number are listed.
Also, remember that certs have little value without a 4 year IT related degree like Computer Information Systems.
In the end here are some jobs you shoot for with the degree and some certs.
Computer Technician, Service Center Coordinator, Help Desk Staff, Storage Administrator, Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Enterprise Administrator, Active Directory Administrator, Exchange and Messaging Administrator, Backup Administrator, Disaster Recovery Specialist, Database Administrator, Computing Security Specialist, Corporate IT Acquisition Specialist and Data Center Administrator, just to name a few.
