BLS for Healthcare Provider Course Description

The BLS Healthcare Provider CourseВ is designed to provide aВ wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognizeВ several life-threatening emergencies, provideВ CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.

Certification and Renewal courses are typically available on Mondays and Tuesdays at 1pm, as well as additionally scheduled weekends and weekdays. Please visit our website or call our Brea offices, (714) 577-0187, for a full schedule.

Intended Audience

Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents

or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, fire fighters and other allied health personnel.

Student Materials: BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual. This manual can be purchased through GMEC online or over the phone with course.

Card Type: Course Completion Card- Good for 2 years.

Certification Course Cost: $40.00

Renewal Course Cost: $40.00

AHA BLS Manual: $20.00 (not necessary to purchase from Genesis if you already possess a current American Heart Association student manual)
