HOW MUCH WILL IT COST & HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
LEARN TO SCUBA DIVE IN ONE WEEKEND!
The beginner certification scuba course is called the Open Water Course. It is taught in two parts. The first part is the classroom and pool sessions where you actually learn to scuba dive. After you have completed the first part you earn your certification by making four open water dives (the second part) where you demonstrate the new skills that you have learned.
Many people want to learn to scuba dive but are so busy that they just don't have the time necessary to take a scuba diving certification course. To help those busy professionals who want to learn but have limited time we have developed our "One Weekend Accelerated Open Water Course." By utilizing a "home study" approach you complete the required reading and viewing of the course video at home at your convenience prior to the beginning of the course.
Once this is done you will attend one of our "One Weekend Open Water Courses," where you will meet Friday evening for classroom and Saturday and Sunday for classroom and pool. Your Scuba Instructors will briefly go over the material to answer any questions that you might have. You will then complete the regular pool sessions. The class and pool session can be finished in just one weekend.
CAN I LEARN TO DIVE IN ONE DAY?
While it is possible to learn in one day we definitely do not recommend a one day program . Your safety and enjoyment while diving demands that you be comfortable with your skills. Repetition and the opportunity to practice in a low stress environment will cement your skills. The extra time also allows us to work with you individually to personalize the learning experience to best meet your individual needs. The extra time in the pool in turn will make you a better scuba diver, increase your comfort and enjoyment and insure your safety while scuba diving.
WHAT WILL THE CLASS & POOL COST?
The cost of the class and pool sessions is $375.00. Included in this price is the classroom review sessions, the pool instruction, and use of the major pieces of scuba equipment (listed below). The student kit, which includes your text book and Dive tables and are included at no additional cost, and are yours to keep. Not included is your personal equipment which is available from Aquatic Adventures at special purchase prices or for rent. See Below: "What Personal Equipment Do I Need?"
We try to include all costs in our class so there are no surprises and you know up front what to expect. If you compare our prices with others you will find that our prices are among the best around. Many lower priced courses are actually much higher because of the addition of items that we include in our class price, such as the Diver Manual and Dive Tables. We will even loan you the DVD as part of the course fee. If you take the time to compare prices, including the student materials, you will find our course is an excellent value.
Not included is your personal equipment which is available from Aquatic Adventures at special purchase prices or for rent.
WHAT ARE THE CLASS & POOL HOURS?
Friday evening is classroom only. It will start at 7:00 pm and end around 9:45 pm. Saturday and Sunday are half class and half pool. We will start at 8:00 am and end about 5:00 pm. There will be ample breaks for lunch, etc. We endeavor to provide the material in a relaxed and non-stressful manner.
WHAT SCUBA EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED?
We will provide for you the major pieces of scuba diving equipment. You will each be fitted with a scuba wetsuit to maximize your comfort and enjoyment, and to help you learn proper buoyancy. We will also provide a buoyancy control device, scuba cylinder, a scuba regulator. If you are comparing be sure and ask if the wetsuit is included in the price or if they are extra. At Aquatic Adventures they are included at no extra cost to you.
WHAT PERSONAL EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Each student will need their own personal equipment. You will use this equipment every time you scuba dive or snorkel. You will need a mask, snorkel, boots and fins. You will also
need a weight belt & weights. We offer these items for sale, and will give students in our Open Water Course a discount of the cost of these items. We also have these items available for rent for those who prefer. Most people, however, find that owning this equipment is less expensive in the long run. In addition having your own equipment not only makes your diving experience more enjoyable but, more hygienic and much safer as well. As an added bonus if you buy or rent your mask, snorkel, boots and fins from us we will loan you the weight belt and weights for the course at no charge. We have complete Personal Equipment packages for students starting at only $159.99.
WHAT WILL POOL TRAINING FOR E-LEARNERS COST?
If you have completed your classroom training online with E-Learning, the cost of your pool training will be $275.00. This price includes a Recreational Dive Planner, which you will need when you complete your open water dives. You will not attend the classroom training discussed above, but all the other information on this page will apply to your e-learning package. You can also complete your dives on one of our store sponsored dive trips.

There is a $20.00 processing fee for the Referral and remember it is good for up to 12 months from the date of your last class and pool session.
There are no surprise certification fees or lake entry fees, these are included in our price so you know what to expect when you sign up for one of our classes.
LOTS OF PERSONAL ATTENTION!
Our class size is limited to insure more personal interaction between the students and the instructors. We want your diving experience to be a positive one. Our goal is to make sure that you have mastered the material and skills involved in scuba diving. We want you to be a safe and comfortable when you dive.
We will have more than enough Scuba Instructors and Divemasters on hand to insure that you receive plenty of personal attention. If you require extra pool time or classroom time to maximize your comfort level, we will arrange that as well, and will always endeavor to keep any extra costs to a minimum. Please note: In order to have the extra staff available late cancelations and no shows are subject to penalties or loss of fees paid.
Check our Schedule of Classes under Education for the next Open Water Course. Now your busy schedule is no longer an excuse, there is no need to wait any longer. Get out and dive!
