Can I renew my loan?

No. A payday loan is meant for short term borrowing needs only. As such, we require your loan to be paid-off in full on the due date. You may not use the proceeds of another loan to do so.

Implications of non-payment or late payment

We understand that people's circumstances can change. If this is the case, you must let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to help. Please be aware that unless payment is received, we will consider all options permitted by applicable law to pursue collection of the debt, including the right to pass your details onto a third party collections agency. If you are having problems making a payment please contact us 1-877-819-5857, and we can discuss your payment options.

The most important things to note are:

  • Don't borrow money you will struggle to pay back
  • Talk to us and we will help as much as possible

If you do not repay your entire loan on or before the loan due date, you may be subject to a $40.00 default plus interest at a rate of 2.5% per month until paid in full. Your bank or financial institution may also charge you an NSF (non sufficient funds) fee.

In the event that you do not repay your loan, you will not be permitted to borrow from us again until you repay your outstanding loan.

Although Money Mart does not presently report loan non-repayment to credit reporting agencies, Money Mart reserves the right to do so. Loan non-repayment by you, if reported to a credit reporting agency by Money Mart, could have a negative impact on your credit score.

The collections process

If you are having problems making a payment please contact us so that we can discuss your payment options.

If you default on your loan without getting in touch we will attempt to contact you through multiple channels. We reserve the right to pass your details onto a third party collections agency.
