Stocks of SKS Microfinance surged 20 per cent in early trade on the back of a new draft bill that makes the RBI a regulator for the sector. SKS Micro was also the most traded counter in terms of volumes on the BSE 500 index. The surge came on the back of initial weakness when SKS tanked nearly 8 per cent on reports of alleged cash embezzlem.
