Welcome to Just Answer. My name is Barbara, and it will be my pleasure to assist you with your tax question today.
Your ex can check your tax return for accuracy if you believe he/she is qualified.
My best advice would be to contact the IRS at the Identity Protection Specialized Unit at 1-800-908-4490 as soon as possible to alert them to the situation.
I that u answer question I knew that I wanted to know if he could
I do not understand your bad service rating of my answer. Since your ex has knowledge of your social security number, you would want to alert the IRS. If you husband
has your social security number, he would be able to access your information even though he is doing so fraudulently because he is not you.
As I mentioned, you would contact the IRS at the number I previously provided and you would also fill out Form 14039. The link to the form is as follows: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f14039.pdf
As I mentioned, I do not understand your bad service rating of my answer. What aspect of your question did I not answer?
I guess the bad service rating is due to the fact the answer I provided was not what you were hoping for, but it is the correct answer. In any event, I would urge you to contact the IRS. Thank you and best regards, Barb
