The City of Chandler will continue to administer transaction privilege taxes and licensing through the 2015 calendar year.
The State of Arizona and its Cities and Towns continue to work together to achieve the goal of simplifying the manner in which taxpayers report and pay their Transaction Privilege Tax. We want to ensure that there is a smooth transition in reporting and paying all transaction privilege tax.
Due to the complexity in modifying the Arizona Department of Revenue’s computer systems, ADOR will not be the single point of licensing, filing and payment of
all transaction privilege taxes on January 1, 2015, as originally planned.
For 2015, taxpayers will continue to file and pay transaction privilege taxes to the state and most municipalities as they do today. More information will become available as the City prepares for these changes. To view this information directly from Arizona Department of Revenue, click here .
The Arizona Department of Revenue is offering classes on how the transaction privilege tax applies to contracting activity.
These free sessions will provide an explanation of the statutory prime contracting changes that went into effect January 1, 2015, along with recent legislation passed. For more information on the Arizona Department of Revenue contracting classes click here .
