How to Change Your Tax Status

UC Davis employees are encouraged to update their own tax status through a secure website called At Your Service (AYSO). This is the fastest way to make changes, and employees receive confirmation by email that changes have been made.

  2. Access AYSO and click on the blue button with AYS, under "Sign in to Your Accounts"
  3. Enter the requested information to establish a new password
  4. If you have previously set up a user name it will be provided as a reminder for future use
  5. You may be prompted to agree to the electronic authorization and to choose six questions that will be used to verify your identity for future password resets
  6. Under the Income & Taxes heading, choose the Tax Witholdings link
  7. Your current witholding status will be provided for both federal and state tax filing

Forms are provided to assist you in calculating your allowances for both federal and state filing. Using the menu select the Calculate Allowances link to navigate to the forms.

Estimate Tax Withheld

Using the menu select the Estimate Tax Withheld link to navigate to the options for both federal and state deductions. If you are a current employee the site should pull your payroll data and populate the fields, adjust the marital status and allowances and press the Submit button to see what your new deduction would be based on your changes.

Note: This will not made changes to your status, the system is only estimating deductions.
