Crock Pot Beef Tips with Gravy

If you’re looking for an easy, filling and comforting meal the whole family will enjoy, look no further than this Crock Pot Beef Tips and Gravy. A longtime southern favorite, this meal is full of tender, fall apart chunks of beef, coated in a thick gravy, and served over rice. follow Brandy’s (The Country Cook ) method of thickening gravy for Crock Pot Beef Tips. She makes a roux using 2 tablespoons of butter and 3 heaping tablespoons of flour. Then 2 cups of the liquid from the crock pot is added. It makes a super thick and tasty gravy. You can always add extra cooking liquid if you want a thinner gravy.

We don’t eat a ton of red meat, but this is one of my favorite beef recipes. It makes a hearty meal and doesn’t break the bank. I usually make it when chuck roast goes on sale. You can use other types of meat too- anything labeled beef tips or stew meat and round steak works as well.
