Learn to Prepare Income Taxes

This is a comprehensive basic individual tax preparation course for those who wish to operate as a paid tax preparer. It can also serve as training for persons employed by tax preparation firms.

Those who complete the class will be able to prepare most common individual tax returns for single and married couples. It will also provide instruction for the various business related schedules on the tax return, but will not provide instruction in corporate or partnership returns. An Indiana individual tax return supplement will also be included.

The class will meet two nights a week for 10 weeks, from 6:30pm until 9:30pm. To accomodate working students with children, we are skipping October 12th through 24th, and November 22nd through 28th. The final class will be December 17th. There is an optional Wrap-up session on January 5th, 2016. This is a total of 60 hours of instruction. Textbooks and other class materials will be provided.

Students have until the start of the second class session to cancel the class and return their course material to receive a full refund. After that, refunds are prorated on a weekly basis (1/10th each remaining week) after adjustment for course material. The full refund policy will be explained upon registration.

Please note that this class is not eligible for any college or professional credits, nor does it qualify for any form of student aid or scholarship. This is a nuts and bolts training course for people who intend to prepare taxes for others for pay. It

is not intended as an offer of employment by Taxwright Inc, or any other firm that may sponsor a student. It is for educational purposes only and is not intended as tax, legal or financial advice.  Successful completion does not qualify the student to practice before the IRS under Circular 230
