A SORN is a Statutory Off Road Notification required in the United Kingdom. It applies to U.S. car owners whose "classic" cars are stored in the U.K. If a vehicle is not taxed, it is an offense to drive it and to park it on a public road. Even if it is stored in an off-road location, it is an offense to leave the vehicle untaxed unless a SORN has been declared. SORNs are registered with the Driver Vehicle Licensing Center in the U.K.
