Makeup often seems like an art, hard to master and difficult to apply properly. Eyeliner can be one of the trickiest makeup applications, but this video will show you how to apply black eyeliner with ease. With step-by-step instructions, you will quickly learn how to apply and shape your black eyeliner.
Hello, my name is Karla Barchieri. I'm a freelance makeup artist, and today, I'm going to show you a few makeup tips. Now, I'm going to show you how to apply a black eyeliner.
Black eyeliner comes in many forms. You can use it as a gel or liquid or in this case, a pencil eyeliner, and this is what I'm going to use right now. All you have to do pretty much is follow your lash line, and this is to make your lashes more thick, if it makes sense.
So from the last lash, we're going to work this inwards to the center, and just very very short easy strokes. You're just going to go all the way to the center, and then you're going to bring this opposite, and from the beginning of the eye, you are working it towards the middle. And try to get the lashes as close to the lash line as possible, and if you find it difficult to keep a straight line, just follow little dotted lines.
One word of advice is to try to thicken
the line as you go out. So, this side of the eye will have a thicker line than the inwards of the eye, and this is what is going to shape your eye. You're going to see that the longer you go out, the shape is going to change the type of eye design that you decide to do.
But, open your eyes for me please, okay, this is a very straightforward black eyeliner. All I'm going to do now is from the end of the lashes, I'm going to bring it towards the eyebrow, just going to bring it a little bit up, okay, not too much, and just make sure that the lashes are covered. One thing I want to advise is once you've done that, make sure you get black eye shadow and you use a slanted brush such as this one, and go back to it and push the eye shadow to the line that you did, and this is because the pencil tends to leave a mark right on top of your lid.
So just press it like so, you don't need really to draw anything, you just press it like so, push it in, the product, okay, and then turn around and just go to the beginning of the eye, and pretty much, this is it! And that's it; this is how you do an eyeliner using a black eyeliner pencil.
