A dated 4506-T is valid for 120 days.
If your applicant filed past the April 15th deadline, it usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks for the IRS to have the
documents available for verification.
The most common rejection reason from the IRS is because the address on the 4506-T form does not
match exactly with the filed taxes. If you are requesting multiple years make sure you fill in any previous
addresses on line 4 of the 4506-T.
If your Tax Return Verification request keeps getting denied by the IRS after you have verified everything is
an exact match to the
original tax forms, the borrower must contact the IRS directly at 800-829-6374.
Do not cross anything out on the 4506-T. If you make a mistake, make a new form.
Do not have half the 4506-T form hand written and another half typed.
If you hand write the entire form, make sure it is very legible.
Do not white out anything on the form. The IRS will look for white out marks and reject it if they see them.
If it is a joint tax return, make sure both spouses sign and date the 4506-T.
If you are scanning the 4506-T form to attach it to an order, make sure the document does not resize
