There is also auditing in the sense of how to consolidate your network, are there too many resources managing one small task, do
you have one server per task when there are only 10 users using the resource etc. "Downsizing" basically.
Consolidating on the desktop, there is now blade workstations. The user gets a dummy terminal and their actual physical PC is in a datacenter locked up. (NOT a mainframe)
It depends on the focus.
